The National Geographic Society and The Conservation Trust

National Geographic Society is dedicated to increasing global understanding and promoting conservation of our planet through exploration, research, and education. National Geographic Maps plays an important part in this mission by giving to the Society all the net proceeds from the sales of our products — all the products you see in this catalog. This money helps the Society fund its mission, including the work of the Conservation Trust.

The Conservation Trust’s primary objective is to support conservation activities within the context of the Society’s mission “to increase and diffuse geographic knowledge.” Bridging the variety of disciplines embraced by geography, the Trust provides funds for innovative action and outreach emphasizing problem-solving and building on existing scientific research. This philosophy enables the Trust to take risks on unproven approaches and investigators, often yielding creative solutions. Learn more…external link icon
