Licensing & Business Development

Looking to use our maps to illustrate your guide book, magazine, or website? National Geographic Maps offers publishers of all sizes and mediums, a variety of licensing opportunities that appeal to any budget. In many cases our licensing programs are free in exchange for appropriate by-line credit!

TOPO! Maps Licensing

Our most frequently licensed content comes from our TOPO! family of software products. These titles offer licensees a nationwide seamless set of high quality topographic maps, ideal for outdoor recreation guidebooks, websites, and publications.

Using maps from TOPO! requires our Extended User License Agreement, which in most cases is free. Simply download the application form. Review the terms and submit. Completing the application requires Adobe Acrobat Reader which is available as a free download from Adobe.

After your application is submitted it will be reviewed by National Geographic within 5 business days. Should you have specific questions about the process, terms, or the status of your application contact Kris Miller.

Business Development Partnerships
