Mount Everest / Himalayas
A visually stunning map depicting Mt. Everest and the Himalayan Mountains. It was constructed in a collaborative effort between Chief Cartographer Bradford Washburn, the Boston Museum of Science, and the Government mapping authorities of China & Nepal. This wall map includes historic routes from trail-blazing expeditions and pioneering summit bids.
Place-names were provided by linguistic experts in consultation with the Chinese and Nepalese mapping authorities. Names appearing within the Chinese area, except for names located on the China / Nepal boundary, are given in their official Pinyin spellings with generic terms, where feasible, anglicized.
